It is not necessary to use a carbon filter if ducting out of the kitchen.

Answer this question

I have the cooker hood fitted and it is vented outside. The carbon filter is still fitted. Does it still need replacing every 6 months. Or should I just remove it!

    Hi,

If your Cooker Hood is vented outside there is no need for a Carbon filter to be fitted as these are for recirculating Hoods. Often removal can improve the efficiency of your Hood.
