I need to know if parts that are normally assembled in the sealed area of the head ( i.e. spring, valve, o-rings,teflon seal etc.) are included in the package, or do I need to purchase them separately? If Yes could You give me their part numbers? Thank You

  • Yeah, Don't listen to Rory. This part DOES NOT COME WITH ANY SEALS!! They'll need to be ordered separately. Thanks espares for delaying my repair by another day. By S. McGuire - Washington - 04 March 2019
  • This part comes with nothing! Look for the leak BEFORE you order. Triangular seal is good sense as it is unlikely the old seal will fit well with the new housing - and if you've gone to the trouble of taking it all apart, then another couple of pounds for the seal has got to be worth it! Hi Sempai, the spring, o-rings, washers and all parts assembled in the sealed part of the head come with the control head.

Answer this question

I lost this part when servicing the control head, it flew out so fast I didn't have time to identify what it is made of or its size. I don't intend to buy a new control head for just one washer type component. Any info or pictures would be appericated. Thanks.

  • Your picture seems to show more parts that are actually there ! There is just : the black plastic piston , an O-ring ( which you seem to point to ) , a spring, and a little white plastic washer which sits in the bottom of the recess in the control head. Actually my problem seems to be in the assembly marked 7,...the machine has never lifted detergent from the tank since new,...I should have taken it back then but was too lazy. Now I have dismantled the machine and find that the '7' valve is blocked . Can it be bought separately ? By Awash - N Ireland - 30 January 2010
  • Hope this helps. Sounds like you've lost the small spring from the middle of the head - I almost did. If you've got a 3.99 like me, there are two different control heads which epares sent me PDF images of to help identify my broken part. Ask them to do the same - don't forget to give them the number embossed on the control head. Mike By 1hamster - Reading - 05 June 2009

We believe it comes as shown, anything else would have to be ordered separately.

  • The triangular O-ring seats on the inner groove of the control head, you can tell you have positioned it properly as it does not require any stretching, it just rests in the groove. Use some silicone grease or vaseline to hold it in place as you push the head down on to the pump body. By David - Newbury, UK - 17 May 2011

  • No instructions supplied. Karcher supplied parts diagram pdf for my machine. I rang there helpline and within seconds had the information emailed to me. If you are stripping machine then either take photos as you go or take notes. Wait until new part is ready to install as it is easy to forget and best to tackle job all in one go. Under the white cap in photo you will find the on/off actuating valve preinstalled. On top of that you fit the detergent valve from your old head and also use other parts from your old head. This will cure on off pulsing and leaking because the valve seals wear out with having so much work to do and can't keep sufficient pressure to the recessed switch in the electrical housing.
