Hi, This hose extension states that it is compatible with a 'c' clip fitting which is what my Karcher 6.85 (1.397-502) uses, but it also states that it is a quick connect system and the photos also indicate likewise. Will the quick connect system connect to the body of my 6.85 or is the text in the item description incorrect?

- Sorry - extension was the wrong term to use. I meant replacement hose. My 6.85 is an older model which has a wind up reel in its body and I assume that the connection at the body end uses a large circlip. Is there an adaptor to use the quick connect with my 6.85 in with this replacement hose kit or does the quick connector connect direct to the existing connector on my 6.85? Sorry for sounding a bit thick but the pictures don't seem to show a way of connecting the new hose to my old 5.85 body and I'm just trying to understand how it connects together. Thanks.

This is not an extension but a longer than original hose, gun and adapter to allow any Karcher to be converted to accept a 'quick connect hose.
I have an old Karcher K6.85m model 1.397-502 number 014844 which has an integral hose which I have removed Can you please tell me which hose fits and can I fit a connector which would enable the fitting of more modern hose like clip in model Many thanks David

Because of the design of your washer if you remove the outlet adapter you may have to remove the case to fit the hose. If you keep the brass 'swivel' from the centre of the hose reel you can remove the hose by just pulling off the spring clip. We think Stock Number: ES1634146 will connect from the brass connector to your gun.
why am i having to replace the c clip almost every time i use the pressure washer with a new one. 1 Answer

The clip that holds the hose on the gun must be pushed fully home and is normally left connected when not in use.

we think part Stock Number: ES1387718 will connect to one 'gun' after removing the spray head and allow another hose to connect onto it.
