It's easy for the waveguide cover to burn out or become damaged, what with all that moisture and grease making contact with it during microwave sessions. If yours is in need of a replacement, this spare may be what you need to place your microwave on the road to recovery.

This replacement wave guide cover is a genuine Panasonic spare part and will fit all microwave models in the list of appliances, so prior to ordering please check the list to ensure this part is correct for you.

Answer this question

I have recently purchased a new wave guard cover from your company. having watched your demo video i realised i do not have a holding screw. Espares say they do not supply them & my local hardware store felt i should not put any metal in the microwave. So i am a little confused as to whether i can use a regular screw & if not where can i purchase the correct one?

Loose metal can cause sparking if it touches other metal surfaces, the original screw is metal and any screw as long as it is not loose will be fine.

  • I only replaced mine when it began to fall apart and actually looked as if it was beginning to burn as it was turning brown. I have had the microwave more years than I can remember. By Anonymous - Isle fo Wight - 19 March 2013
