Main Oven Fan Element - 2000W
The function of the fan oven element is to heat the oven cavity. When the cooker knob is turned on for your electric cooker, electricity will flow to the element which then proceeds to heat up. Once the element reaches the desired temperature, the electricity flow switches on and off to maintain the temperature.
If the internal element filament burns out, this can cause the element to short circuit - and will lead it to fail. Potential signs that the element has blown can be visual things, such as a split, bulge, or blow hole on the element.

I bought a replacement a couple of years ago and it seems to have stopped working
- I paid £140 to a pro to supply & fit a new element 18 mth ago. I now need a new one. This 'pro' told me you can't buy them or fit them unless you were in the trade. I've just found them for less than £30 on your site! I know not to call another professional again!!

Elements can last up to ten years if they do not overheat, this can be due to a faulty fan or even if turned straight off when cooking is finished.To help when cooking is finished turn down to minimum for a minute to allow the fan to take away the heat.
my main oven does not produce any heat at all. The fan and light still works, the grill and the cooker top works but the main oven heat does not. Would it be the thermostat or the Fan Oven Element ?
