    Check the brush roll is not tight when turned as the usual cause is dirt between the roller and the bearing caps.

    The problem could be the motor head or the control switch on the machine itself or the power connectors between.

The dirt collects and stays in the pipe area of the motor head. I have cleaned the pipe area on the motor head and I have bought replacement brushes and filter from you but it still doesn't work, please advise me Many thanks Shirley

there are two silver prongs that go inside the stick but one has snapped does this prevent the head from working properly

    That sounds like the electrical connection and may stop the motor if one is damaged.
