If the gears have worn down on your whisk and the beaters aren't turning so well then maybe you need to replace them.

3 Questions and 3 Answers

The existing ones have the paddle securing clips inside and seem to be moulded in. These are what have failed. Are they included in the gear moulding? Thank you.

The gears come as shown and do not include anything else.

Answer this question

Bought these replacement gears and installing them was easy. Made sure everything went back in exactly as it came out including shims taken from the old worn gears and beaters aligned correctly. The mixer worked fine on initial test but when put to use the new gears got chewed up. What else could be wrong? the only thing I can think of is that there could be a problem with the worm gear that turns these dual gears - but this is metal so is unlikely. Would like to figure this out before I spend money on a 2nd set of replacement gears.

If there is no excessive movement of the gears away from the drive gear there should be no reason why iy may fail other than excessive loads (large or heavy mixing) if this was the case it may be worth mixing in 'batches'.
