- there are 9 screws altogether 2 are under the rubber strip
- I cannot get into the motor assembly. I have taken out seven screws but it is still being held together.Sorry if I used the wrong terminology in my first question.

This part is supplied as one piece from Dyson and may be 'glued' together as they do not supply any parts for this assembly.
how can i tell if it's the motor or circuitboard preventing the brush to rotate? i have pressed the reset button and still nothing 3 Answers
- How do you split the head housing, I have removed seven retaking screws, but there appears to be two more screws tucked away behind a nylon brush
- Please ensure you have removed the power from the machine before attempting the test advised. Sounds elementary but often overlooked.
- you just need a circut tester to check the motor,put the contacts on either side of brush housings if you get a reading then the motor is ok,if no reading then it could be brushes but it is more likely burnt out windings!,(new motor)ok,a.t.b. prezzer

It is easier to test and identify a fault with the motor than a fault with the board. check for continuity across the motor.
- If you test the motor and that is working fine then its 99% that its the board and most people would not bother to try an repair it as it could be any number of things. If the cleaner is less that 5 years old they will replace the parts free.

Hi TJ, the brushbar motor does not have a reset on it itself; the reset switch is located on the cleaner head, and a wire runs to the motor housing.
