brush bar makes a noise and it seems to be moving in the end cap should this fit properly so that the brush bar can just turn or do I just need a new cap 1 Answer

If you release the belt and refit the roller you should not 'feel' any play in the bearings and the brush should spin quietly. If this is not the case suspect the roller bearings or cap.

If this is damaged it may cause the problem but it is more likely to be the brush bar itself.
