Fan Oven Element - 2500W

If the internal element filament burns out, this can cause the element to short circuit - and will lead it to fail. Potential signs that the element has blown can be visual things, such as a split, bulge, or blow hole on the element.

The function of the fan oven element is to heat the oven cavity. When the cooker knob is turned on for your electric cooker, electricity will flow to the element which then proceeds to heat up. Once the element reaches the desired temperature, the electricity flow switches on and off to maintain the temperature.

eSpares has the replacement fan oven element, that could soon be yours, to help get your fan oven back to the required temperature - so you can continue to make your delicious meals!

Check the thermostat, switch and the fan itself for any signs of damage, you may need to meter the components to be sure what has failed.

The oven should have different thermostats for the top and bottom ovens and it would be unusual for both to fail at the same type. If yours is controlled 'electronically' it is likely to have a common control panel, this may be the cause.

My EOU43002X has tripped the electric a few times when you switch it on, then yesterday, It had been on for about 2 hours (cooking a roast) then all of a sudden the RCD tripped for all the sockets. I reset the RCD and everything looked fine, I went to check the Meat about 30 mins later and found that there was no heat in the Main oven. I'm assumming it's the element but wondered if it could be the thermostat instead. Any ideas would be good before I go buying lots of parts. The oven is only about 20 months old. The top oven/grill is still working fine.

Hi there. It sounds very much like something in the element shorted, and therefore caused the fuse to trip. I'd say it's most likely that you'll need to replace the element.

RCD tripped, but fan and light have stopped working as well. Top oven fine. Is it the element? Thanks Dave
