Cooker Hood Active Carbon Filter

Your cooker hood's charcoal filter is responsible for trapping food odours and grease, and re-circulating fresh air. Replace your carbon filter regularly to keep your extractor fan working its magic.

It is recommended to change your carbon filters every 6 months (or when the filter is heavily soiled). With the help of eSpares and this replacement filter, you will get your cooker hood back to doing what it does best - eliminating cooking odours!

You will have to open the hood by removing the grill in a similar way to that shown in the video. Inside you will see the motor assembly with the carbon filters fitted on either side (unless it vents outside and they are not fitted). To remove the filters you normally rotate them to unlatch and lift off.

  • Slide in tabs each side to drop down cooker hood, hinged at back, with fabric filter fitted underneath. The carbon filter is exposed and is situated in the centre of the hood. Turn the round plastic centre anti clockwise to release the old filter. Do the same in reverse to fit the new filter. By tweenys - Worcestershire - 09 July 2012
