Washing Machine Drain Pump

If you have come to empty the clothes from the washing machine, only to notice that there is still a build-up of water at the bottom of the drum - it could be the cause of a faulty drain pump.

The function of the drain pump is for it to remove the waste water from the drum during the cycle. If you are in need of a new pump, this replacement spare from eSpares could be just the solution for you.

We could soon have you back to a fully working washer again soon, so you can get through the pile of laundry piling up at home!

Hi daz, before looking at anything obviously you'll need to manually drain the machine. You can do this by turning off your water and electricity supply and uncoupling the outlet hose and draining - beware though, this can be messy. After that I'd check the hose for any blockages and remove any you find. Straighten the hose out to, it may be pinched. Once you've done that, check the pump for blockages and remove. Do a short test wash - if that still hasn't solved the problem it's most likely going to be the pump and you may need to replace it.
