  This is a metal plate with self adhesive abrasives that fit to your mower. Unpeel the backing to the abrasive, and fix it to the metal plate. The sharpener fits onto the fixed bottom plate of the mower which every cylinder mower has. Readjust the cylinder blade so it just touches the abrasives and now push the mower on hard, flat surface for a couple of minutes & you will sharp edges ground at the correct angle. The sharpener is then removed.
