Dishwashers have been branded to be a money saving tool, as it’s proven that using the dishwasher uses less water than you actually washing up by hand.
That being said, your trusty dishwasher is not immune from uninvited faults that can occur from time to time. One such fault is that the dishwasher can continuously be allowing water into the machine.
If you are experiencing this issue, the dishwasher will be displaying an F09 error code on the control panel display.

Cause 1
The only way a dishwasher can fill continually without leaking is if the excess water is being drained away. The dishwasher will signal you with an F09 error code, as water will not leak onto the floor. Now that can be frustrating if you're waiting for clean plates and dishes. It is recommended to check:
Safety First! Please ensure that you have disconnected the appliance from the mains before starting any repair.
Some machines may start filling before shutting off and draining, which goes on to repeat continuously. This can be caused by grease built up on the pipe to the sump causing water to back up.
